The last comment---you know, the one made after an LSU team with a new QB and a new Offensive Coordinator shut out an SEC team 45-0 on the road to start the season--did it for me,

"I think LSU is *more* likely to lose a game this season than I did at the start of the game."

     Seriously...WTF???????????

Is Dougie, well, *really, truly* re-tah-ded?

    Tawlk amongst yourselves...

Can you imagine how different it would have been if our name was USC, or -- God forbit -- ND? That's what gets me.

It was actually Craig James that said that, but I was in disbelief during that little conversation.

LSU goes on the road, first game of the year, on national television.

They DESTROY an SEC team 45-0 with 7 interceptions and ZERO scoring threats from the opposition. They (even by the announcers' admission) keep things very vanilla on both offense and defense.

But, yeah, they're not THAT good.

I have never...NEVER...heard announcers sandbag a team that's winning 45-0 on the road like that during a broadcast. Shocking.

I suppose they thought our offense would be more potent than what was shown tonight. Of course, USC or ND would have shown grit getting the win...

I definitely am more worried about the VaTech game than I was before the game started.

Personally, I enjoy hearing the media and the Flutie's dismiss the Tigers already. To me, it will be even sweeter at the end of the year if we win it all to hear them crawfishing on the things they said and having a nice rewarmed twice baked double breaded deep fried serving of crow to eat on come December/January. :thumb:

I think James was saying we have some areas that are not that dominant. And looking at the right side of the oline tonight he may have a point. Stewart has to get better fast.

To their credit, they had nothing to talk about for a while. Kind of a one-sided game.

Carnell Stewart straight up got abused, and we had serious issues in pass protection. Jacob Hester even whiffed a few times. I'd say they have an argument.

Myself? I'm pleased with being able to hang half-a-hundred on them whilst running the offense we ran.
