The linked chart would suggest that he not only recruits at a fantastic level, but that he actually develops the talent he recruits. Throw out all of the emotion and look at the stats. This chart looks at 5 years of stats on recruiting and where teams ended up at the end of the year. Seems to me that LSU, over the last 5 years, is second only to Bama.
Last year's offense ranked about 40th in total yards per game, but we ranked 23rd in total points per game...which is better. We also finished... 12th in yards per play 9th in points per play 7th in passer rating 3rd in passing yards per attempt 3rd in passing yards per completion 1st in 3rd down conversion % Those are NCAA numbers not just the SEC.
Yes last years offense was better than this years. And this year like others the qb position is the weakest. If it weren't for the high recruiting rankings at most of the other positions on the field, and a formidable defense, Leslies seat might me more warm than cool.
can we get a chart based on the most important position, qb? chart that really matters, last 6 years: LSU 61-17, 1 sec title Bama 72-8, 3 BCS crystals possible 4th, 3 SEC titles saban going to bama is starting to be an issue.
a lot of miles supporters must have been high praised as youngsters for getting the participation award on their schools field day.
