Every team has its off days. The trick is to win even when you are not up to snuff.

I'll take it! Although I'm weary about being # 1 again. I'd rather sit back at # 2 and wait for lil ole OSU. Of course, I digress, I want to beat the best! And clearly, OSU is NOT it.

last thing herbstreit wants is LSU vs Ohio St. He'll hang himself if his Buckeyes get maul dragged again by the SEC.

Where are all you Herbstreit lovers at now? Y'all took up for him a few weeks ago. His true colors are showing! :insane:

We deserve to be #2 not because of beating Bama but by being 8-1 with the schedule we have played. Oregon and tOSU would be .500 if they had played our schedule.

We need to brace ourselves for a media onslaught for Oregon being #2. Obviously if you look at who we've played and beat we have the edge over Oregon. Their one loss is on their home filed and our one loss is on the road in triple overtime. If Oregon, OU and LSU all win out it will be extremely close just like in 2003. I still like our chances.

I like your rankings Chip. I'm hoping for a LSU/KU championship. It is a reach but the way this season is going, anything is possible. IF OhioStsucks makes it, I just pray that they have to take on the Tigers. Keep kickin' ass fellas.

He'll never pull for LSU. He should spend less time in the tanning bed and more time checking out strength of schedule.

1st line sounds good to me.

On point 2, if you are in the big 10 you don't have to have either a strong out of conference schedule, it would be out of balance.

big 10 (weak out of conference + weak conference) is always > SEC (medium out of conference + BRUTAL Conference Schedule)

I hate to say it, but LSU is living on the edge right now with these games. Oregon looks solid in all their games. I don't like Oregon at all (I am talking about the whole damned place), but I won't take offense to anyone who suggests that maybe Oregon should be #2 over us. $.02
