Leach I actually like as a coach, a little out there (hell so is "crazy uncle les"). I think paterson's has his team in the right direction. I think they are going to be near the top of that conference for years to come. Could be wrong though. Personally I would love to steal away Hudspeth, that is just me though.
Oh now you've done it @Rouxleaux This is in @StaceyO s wheelhouse. She will sit ready at the google to find anything wrong with any name you provide. We beat them in 200#, He lost a game to _______ in 199#, He cheats on his wife, He can't do this, He can't do that. Trust me brother you will NEVER win this one. It is best you stop while you are ahead. No one and I repeat NO ONE will ever be good enough for them.
Leach would be an epic mistake, and his character is in question. Besides, living in Texas and watching his high-powered offenses often, he lost more than one game by getting a big lead, not being able to run the ball to eat clock, and having his horrible defense lose. This happened repeatedly at the hands of OU, for instance. Patterson has his team in the right direction, and he plays in a weaker conference, so he has that going for him, I guess. And...should we hire a small conference coach like Hudspeth, watch this board go into nuclear meltdown.
And Les Miles with his 80% winning percentage will never be good enough for the minions. I'm sorry, Shane, but coming from a coaching family and seeing many coaches come and go at programs over the years, I can't see wanting to get rid of the best long-term coach LSU has ever had and replacing him with an unknown commodity. I was a little girl when LSU did that to Charlie Mac and was an adult in her 30's before LSU football ever became relevant again. I'd prefer to enjoy the true golden age of LSU football here and now, instead of hoping that we're good again some time around the time I become a grandma or great grandma.
I can almost agree with all of these statements except the last one. That to me is how you get new blood in to the coaching pool. Coaching carousel has go to be replenished at some point. I mean hell look at what Hudspeth has done with virtually every thing against him. He is recruiting in a state that is owned by us, and he has done pretty damn good in his small conference. Also just saying but this guy named nick saban originally came from a small school (toledo). Before every one throws crap at me I am not putting Hudspeth in the same breath as $aban. Just making a point everyone starts off small at first.
I can also agree to this statement. What can I say tired at work and need something to do so I thought I would poke the hornets nest.
Patty, no thanks. A 4-8 season last year, couldn't win the close ones. Hud, most of his problems are off the field. Won't go into detail. Dabo, has done well, but if you think Les is a little wacky? Hires good coordinators. An when was the last time Dabo beat USCE? How about never, 0-5. Leach, that one answers its self. Don't get me started on this one. Graham, really? The guy has U-Haul on speed dial. Like a one night stand. One year here, one year there. Have you looked at any of these guys resume's? So you would take a sure bet on one of these guys?
