Haven't read anything about his visit yet but he was a pretty strong ND lean before the visit.

I gotta believe it was just a fun trip for him.

We got a JC QB who is going to be our starter for the next 2 years.

This kid would not see the field until he is in his 3rd year.

I don't think we'll get a legit starting SEC QB until next year's class.

    And we shouldn't.

On top of that, we have an outstanding duel threat QB who should be ready to take over after that if all goes according to plan. And then there is Rivers. We are well stocked.

What about the kid from florida that we signed late? I think was comitted to Oregon early & switched (Randolf?). suppose to be a run first QB I think. Does he have a chance or will he switch positions?

Oh, so thats the dual threat (Randall) Islstl was talking about? Had not read much about him lately so wasnt sure he was that high on the depth chart for next year. Yep, seems like we in good shape till 2012 in that dept.

Randall is a BEAST. Kinda like Russell Sheppard in high school, but in many opinions ( mine included ) a better overall QB. He actually kinda reminds me of a combination of Sheppard and JaMarcus Russell in that he is a great runner, but also has a cannon for an arm and can sling it on a rope while on the run from defenders.

He has unbelievable acceleration. Great vision. Not as much first step or lateral quickness as Shep had, but I think is faster overall.

The difference from him and shep is, Randall can PASS. Has a cannon of an arm, great touch, can hold in the pocket and take a hit or keep a play going with his legs in order to hit the WR. Can make defensive reads and seems to even be able to go through progressions. He's gonna be awesome and I'd love for him to be our Perriloux to Mettenberger's Flynn

I hoped for this with Lee/Jefferson...but Miles likes the run over pass.

No offense to this kid but I REALLY want a break for a few years from another QB controversy.

For three years it has been:

    Black vs. White

    Smart vs. Athletic

    Runner vs. Passer

    All the comparisons...all the opinions...all the questions...etc.

We just need a break for a few seasons. Hopefully we can find a true QB to start the next few years. We haven't had a well-rounded QB for the past four years.

Where is Jarrard Randall going to fit in the mix for the next couple of years? He's "dual threat" like JJ. May be a continued saga, just different participants. Just sayin.....

I wouldn't call JJ a dual threat. He hits on an occasional pass but he's pretty one-dimensional.

I hope & pray we don't have another Jefferson/Lee episode! We've finally recruited some top notch QBs. Let's use them and not run them off.
