He will be a Tiger. And even more importantly, he now stands a great chance at making the grades so that he can join the team this year. Another 5 star recruit, and the 4th best receiver listed by Rivals (#3 by Scout). Great news, indeed. LSU has become wide receiver U. No wonder we attract kids like these. Dude is 6' 6 1/2", 222 lbs. Very physical, good downfield blocker (you know we like our receivers to block downfield), obvious red zone threat (listed between 4.5 and 4.62 speed). I'll take 4.55 (Dwayne Bowe's speed). Ryan Perrilloux, get ready to start throwing some fade patterns.
His mother said he is probably going to LSU. That's about as much assurance as I can give you. The coaching change at Ole Miss is what pretty much knocked Ole Miss out of it and swung it all the way to LSU's favor, like it was originally.
Easily has to be the tallest receiver LSU ever had if he comes right? He may play faster than his 40 time suggests on deep routes, post patterns, etc. Usually tall guys give up a good bit of time out of the starting blocks and hit top speed later down the track than shorter competitors. If this holds true for him, he may be quite fast on any pattern where he is able to open up his stride. Our QB's should love the big target he gives them. I hope we land him. He would be a nightmare for short cornerbacks.
Guy is just an absolute monster. I really hope we land him, hes got a good chance to be a special player.
I sure hope you are right because he will be a good one.I live on the coast(Long Beach)and everyone I talk to around here seem to think he is a Ole Piss lock.I sure hope he proves them wrong. If he wants one of these:crystal: ,he will be coming to LSU!!.:tigereye:
Its great news! Its still not a given though that he will be a Tiger. Great to hear that he has focused on school and may now qualify. Hopefully he does qualify and more importantly come to LSU.
I hope this speculation is true. He has been described as the next Calvin Johnson and would immediately raise the status of this recruiting class (like PJs signing did). Ole Miss and LSU have been listed for some time as his only serious considerations. In the interim, Ole Miss has had a coaching change, and LSU has won the NC, so that can only help our chances with this guy. He is the only other WR I wanted to see us sign (Julio Jones will not come to LSU, and we have so many others signed). If we could lock down Brown, and still bring in one more OL (Sullivan or Jones maybe), Brandon Thompson at DT, a RB (Aundre Dean would be a stud), and get TJ Bryant at the other CB.... WOW we would be set at immediate needs and depth for the future.
