Very good article...a lot of people on here don't realize how good we have it with Flynn as QB. Seems like certain posters want to focus on his occasional lapses while deemphasizing his poise under pressure, running ability, leadership in the huddle, etc. Dorsey says it best: "When he's gotta come up with a play, he comes up with a play," senior defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey said. "I know I'm glad he's on my team."

Ok, I'm sorry if I seem like a rain cloud, but lets be fair. Flynn has unreal poise, I will agree with that all the way. The way he has come back late in games, the fact that nothing seems to faze him, and all of that deserves our support. BUT, he puts himself in a lot of these jams by poor decisions and throws he shouldn't make. Of the three INTs that he made to Alabama, the one that should have never been made was on the 10 yd line. When it somes down to it, we are #2 in the land, and we should not have to depend on a 4th and 4 play to win. We need Flynn to think about what he is doing, and have the poise to not make mistakes. He is a very good QB, but he did put the game in serious jeopardy.
Yes Flynn has put us in a hole occassionally but so did JR and every other QB out there. I critiqued Flyn in my thread "Inconsistency of Flynn" but it is more or less saying that we can't consistently get out of the hole that 3 INT's puts us in, if this occurs against better teams. But I also acknowledged how he pulled it out for us in the 2nd half. He was great in the 2nd half. He pulled himself up by the bootstraps and made the plays. You have to admit that Flynn put us in a little bit of trouble but the penalties and personal fouls made that hole even deeper.
I respectfully disagree, I believe to continue to win in a tough SEC that there are going to be lots of times where you are down to the wire and need to pull off another miracle! Ask a Gator fan if he could change records with us right now but he had to take all the 4th and whatever calls! Bet he takes them and bows! Just my opinion but I will take WHATEVER needs to be done if it ends in an LSU win!!! :thumb:
