I know the seasons slow to come, but PLEASE keep Tebow away from me, I think I'll attack him if I'm ever in his vicinity. All the damn networks are going overboard with the Tebow Love Fest, I'm sick of it. If you can keep from throwing up, read it yourself. Have You not accepted Tebow into your life? In all seriousness, my dislike of Tebow is starting to be more about the reporting and less about him. He seems like a fine upstanding young man, who made a huge mistake by becoming a gator, and honestly there are easier people to hate on his own team. But the media continues to be so grovenly praisefull, or in case of Clay Travis (who's previous work i thoroughly enjoy) completely inappropriate, that i wonder if they're just short on stories. If it were just florida media, i'd completely understand (what, you wouldn't want the LA media to grill every coach to find out who didn't vote Jordan Jefferson unanimous 1st team all-SEC next year? :wave: ). ...Have i just become what i just said i dislike?
my guess is travis knew it was inappropriate (and stupid) and asked it for that very reason! i mean consider this bit of sarcasm from "dixieland delight" which was written in 2007 (about the 2006 season).... "It is absolutely impossible to describe how delirious the crowd at Florida Becomes when Tebow enters the game. It's as if Jesus Christ suddenly alit at midfield." was an attempt (and a succesful one) to stir the pot.
Well we'd better start accepting it, because this is ALL you're going to hear from the sports media until the UF/LSU game along with the talk of a repeat NC, how great it was that he returned for his senior year, yada yada yada. In short, Tebow has turned into the Barack Obama of the sports world. I honestly don't understand this witchhunt infatuation to hunt down the coach who isn't bowing at the altar of St. Tebow.
Just wait till Tebow visits our lovely kingdom of Mingovia. I understand the royal monarch, lord and master of the dirigible nation, eagerly awaits him and has planned a special reception for the annointed one...from which there will be no deliverance. Our exalted ruler may even deliver to him the "mark of LLEDIR" to his saintly sternum...the meaning of which will be revealed in the mirror on the wall.
First of all, Tim is a liar. We slept together. He said something about wanting to sleep with someone that was an even better person than himself. I took it as a compliment and slept with him even though I'm 100% straight (because he told me he would let me hold his Heisman Trophy while in bed). Anyway, long story short, I'm gay now and apparently football is not the only thing that Tim is the best at... Actually, we're gonna pop his cherry when he comes to Tiger Stadium this year (maybe wishful thinking, but we've got a much better chance than we had least year obviously). To be honest, I'm a big Tebow fan even though he's a Gator. He's an unbelievable player and a seemingly great person. However, I agree that the media stuff is getting sickening. They need to shut up already (and shouldn't ask about his virginity). It's ridiculous. The BCS broadcast last year was the worst of the worst. I've never seen such worshipping. I agree that he deserves tons of compliments and credit, but they went overboard. And I still think Percy Harvin should have won the MVP. He was the difference. Yet, they acted like he didn't exist at times when talking about the game (I realize his character is nothing like Tebow's, but he was awesome on the field that night). Yeah, but at least Tebow has been effective so far...
