12 is Tour level speed. 14 is major championship level speed. Ask the Pro to verify.

Is it a public or private course? If it's public it's impossible for a greens keeping staff to maintain the greens at that speed. They don't have the money. And btw I don't care what the sign says.

Prestigous clubs that hold majors rarely maintain their greens at that speed. Particularly during the summer. You must be paying a hell of an amount. I'm still skeptical.

Its not that much actually and I can assure you EVERYONE is bitching about them so yes, be skeptical all you want but they are what they are.
