will all probably be Tigers according to DandyDon's "source". This would be absolutely amazing if we get all of these guys. It would assure us of a Top 5 class, maybe top 3. Jai Eugene **** DB Gerald McCoy ***** DT Ricky Dixon **** WR Jared/Chris Mitchell **** WR (Dandy wasn't sure which one) Keiland Williams ***** RB Charles Deas *** DT (Being recruited by the big boys though)
I'm suprised there's no Oline mean in there... I like that group - very talented. But 2 more receivers seems a little unnecessary to me... If we got Keiland & McCoy, oh that would be so sweet.
I agree, that group is very good. Especially Keiland Williams, he's a stud - a difference maker. But, like you said - where's the Offensive Lineman? We need O-linemen in a bad sorta way. Maybe they'll try again to tap into the JC ranks. Unfortunately, Boudreaux didn't work out.
Talk about! Two more 5-star athletes would really be a boost to LSU's recruiting class. Wish they would go ahead and commit.
It doesn't necessarily mean that we aren't recruiting any OL. It just means these are the guys that the "source" is sure will commit to us at this point. I would expect that we will sign at least one more offensive lineman.
Did a little searching around on rivals and they break down rankings by entire class, but also by position too. For instance, right now, LSU has the #5 recruiting class. But they're also ranked #8 in terms of offensive linemen. The o-lineman rankings are as follows: 1. Florida 4 total O-lineman Ave. Stars 4.00 2. UGA 6 total O-lineman Ave. Stars 3.33 3. Okla 6 total O-lineman Ave. Stars 3.33 4. ND 4 total O-lineman Ave. Stars 3.75 4. 'Bama 4 total O-lineman Ave. Stars 3.75 6. UCLA 7 total O-lineman Ave. Stars 3.14 7. Cal 5 total O-lineman Ave. Stars 3.40 8. LSU! 4 total O-lenman Ave. Stars 3.50 Yes, I know we have a need for lineman--especially for '07 and for depth in '06, but when you look at the trend throughout the country, we're right in the thick of things. Everyone else pretty much has between 4-7 offensive linemen committed right now.... And when you look at UCLA, yeah, they have 7 commtiments along the O-line, but they only have two 4-star recruits, four 3-stars and the rest are 2-star or lower.
Maybe Andre Smith is getting a taste of what he would be going against the next 4 years if he does not go to LSU. He is getting to see first hand of how dominating LSU's future DLine could be.:geauxtige
