Just spent twenty minutes on the Tech Forum (Bulldog Barks and Bytes). Don't bother. I'll wrap it up for you. 1. They hate their own program and can't decide whether to fire everybody and rebuild or fire everybody and drop back down to 1-AA. 2. They've resorted to preemptive corndog and "stoopid lsubram fans" posts (of course, misspelling words left and right as they go...).:lol: Not much football being discussed there. Depressing. And disappointing. :geaux:
ah i just spent the better part of an hour there..... They dont like their coaching staff at all. However believe Jim Oakes is much better than Miles. They don't believe they belong anywhere in D1A. They think they would be better suited in the Southland Conf.. Some even think that dropping athletics all together "we have NO BUSINESS attempting to play 1-A football in ANY conference " "Dropping to IAA doesn't solve any problem...we'd be terrible there too." They on one hand bash LSU, but at the same time have threads talking about LSU football as if it was an LSU forum. Needless to say, that will be my last visit to Bulldog B&B. Edit: oh and many of them do believe that they are driving down to BR for a Win this weekend:huh:
I have friends who go to tech and live in ruston....it's really sad....there just waiting for the techsters to tip off.
Well, they're not stupid. They know its throwing the lambs to the lions (of course in this case it would be Tigers). Never will understand why those "small colleges enjoy getting their "azzzzzzzzz's" kicked by schools that they have a "snowballs chance in hell" of beating? Guess they're trying to teach those young men "humility" or something. (Yes, I know its about the revenue). :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
Don't forget, many on that forum are the folks who enjoyed making jokes when Mike the Tiger died. Such people fancy LA Tech as superior to LSU in most every regard, and won't even recognize our school by its name. I don't know what gets into some people who live here in LA, but the hate they show LSU borders on illness.
I actually liked it better when Louisiana had schools competitive in every division. But now every regional school thinks they need to be Division I-A, even though they can't even pay for the program from tickets and have to use state money. And they are all gettingtheir asses kicked. But once we had louisiana schools competitive in I-AA and Division II. Tech, Monroe, and Lafayette would be much better off being big fish in smaller ponds than perpetual losing in the big league. Of course, the winning records that all major programs have to achieve is only happening because there are enough doormats in the Division to let it happen.
