Thanks, that is the kind of positive feedback I was looking for. Hopefully you thought he did a good job when he was pressed into action. I did see Sanders get mentioned once though in pass defense. They had him covering either a WR or more probably a RB on a shallow crossing route and he was overmatched. It is hard for a LB to cover one on one, but I think Ali would have had a better shot in coverage.

Ali is probably our fastest LB'er but no matter who the LB is, a matchup against a WR and a speedy RB is almost always a missmatch.

I really can't bring myself to focus solely on individual LB play during a game until we have it in the bag. Unfortunately, we haven't had many routes lately. I can watch certain individuals during the replay, but will they show a replay of this one. I assume they will, but it is on Tigervision and I don't know if anything is done differently because of that. We are on network TV so much that I can't remember if it affects us being supplied with a replay.

Didn't Perry Riley fill in for Beckwith and not Cutrera? I was a little surpside, but I know I saw him out there...

i believe beckwith will actually time faster than ali. or maybe a tie.

beckwith is such a hitter i think his speed is easily overlooked. plus he takes better angles than ali i think.

#7 usually ends up having to lunge and make arm tackles but id take him anyday of the week. he has great instincts.

same goes for beckwith for instincts and being on my team.

When Beckwith went out earlier in the year Riley filled in because Cutrera was also injured.

I don't feel comfortable with Sanders at MLB. He's slow & his primary job is to take on lead blockers - I don't see that translating well to MLB.

Cutrera isn't perfect, but this is second year in the position & I would guess he knows it at least as well as Sanders.

So long as Beckwith is back for Arkansas, we should be fine.

Actually Riley went in when Beckwith had to leave the Bama game late in the 1st quarter. He seems much quicker and instinctive than Cutrera to me.

Darry will be back for Ark, but if not, expect to see some Chad Jones linebacker packages or some Steltz linebacker packages to combat Arkansas's speedy rushing attack on the edges, and if they want to throw it, then beg them to do so.

Then why would Cutrera be expected to be the starter over Riley...?
