Here's a copy of what I had to say: Dear CBS, In addition to broadcasting exclusive SEC football games nationwide in glorious HD, I would like to make the following request. Please prevent your announcers from ever: saying anything critical of Louisiana State Football, praising an opponent of LSU or misprounouncing a single player's name on either team's 80-man roster. I have no problem with either of them. They're commentators... they're not going to be perfect with every single name but they do a decent job. Entertaining at times.
I guess I just don't pay that much attention to them. Never thought of them as being really good or really bad.
All I know with living in Orlando, if anybody at all wants to show the LSU games I don't care if they have 2 monkeys commentating! Watch the game with me you won't be able to hear the announcers over my yelling anyway!
Of course I did but come on, other than that the two are good announcers. I think Verne is hillarious. Especially considering during the Tennessee / Florida game after Joiner kissed Ti Te Verne said "keep the camera on them maybe they'll kiss." Every announcer has said something stupid even voice of LSU Jim Hawthorne. What exactly do you object to about their coverage? They are knowledgable about football, have good chemistry, generally make insightful comments, and are funny.
