I tought this was interesting. LSU is 8th in the Profit Margin at 25.2M. 7th in Revenues at 39.5M and 8th in Expenses at 14.3M. These numbers were last updated in Jume of 2006. http://newsok.com/article/3166059 Here is a closer look at the LSU program as a whole with recruiting and operating expenses. http://ope.ed.gov/athletics/InstDetail.asp?CRITERIA=3 Coaching Salaries: http://ope.ed.gov/athletics/InstDetail.asp?CRITERIA=2
I don't understand what order, if there is any order or system, they have used to list these teams. I guess it was just arbitrary? Chalk this up to the FWIW category... These figures come from... *Ticket Sales *Guarantees *Contributions *NCAA/Conference distributions *School (individual) media rights *Concessions, parking, programs *Advertising There are a few other areas that schools are asked about when it comes to their revenue reports. That last reporting period I looked at there were a few areas that LSU didn't report any revenue. *Camps *Government support *Endowments/Investments *Indirect and Direct Institutional support. I have a link bookmarked on my desktop but don't have it on my laptop. I do recall the report was published by the indystar.com. I want to say the link is www.indystar.com or it's www2.indystar.com
