The SEC has 9 bowl eligible teams (LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina and Florida) for 8 slots (Sugar, Capital One, Outback, Cotton, Chick Fil-A, MusicCity, Independence and Liberty Bowls). If nothing else were to change and LSU gets into the NC game, then every team eligible could get a bowl berth. Ole Miss is out, but if MSU and/or Vanderbilt win one more game they are bowl eligible. So if MSU and Vandy both become eligible and we have 11 eligible for 8 births, who gets left out and joins Ole Miss at home for the holidays?????
Well if MSU beats Bama and becomes bowl eligible, maybe Saban can have Christmas with his family.
No way we get left out, Alabama fans travel too well, hell we took RV's to Hawaii. And plus we'll hopefully as worst case scenario have one more win. I don't see a 7-5 Alabama team getting passed over for a 6-6 Mississippi State team.
I think State ends up at 7-5. I hope that if we have 11 teams that are eligible, then we all 11 get to Bowl.
I certainly don’t know what will happen. But I feel certain that if teams like Kentucky, MSU and Vandy get bowl eligible, there will be a lot of pressure and lobbying on the lower tier bowls like the Liberty, the Independence and Music City to get into a bowl. If LSU goes to the NC game, then maybe the second place team goes to the Sugar. After that it is probably anyone’s guess.
No, he's right. Except he left out the part about having to turn around once they got to Los Angeles.
