Not taking a shot at him but laying down what others in the league have said about him in the past and from what I have seen during his career. Even some of his old buddies from the AND1 crew hate him. Still not saying he is an awful person but he has a way of getting under the skin of many NBA players and that is not necessarily a bad thing if it works to your advantage. And I think it does work for him. I would also say CP3 is backing it up better than Alston has.
I just don't think someone should be saying "maybe I could be half as good as he is one day, blah, blah, blah," when he has done NOTHING in his career... NOTHING... No playoffs, etc... It's kinda like a respect your elders thing. Dude has been a solid PG in the league for 10-12 years. Then some young-in comes in and bashes him when he has done nothing. Even if what he is saying is true, just bite your tongue. Rough example is when I said bad things about DandyDon's blog. The things I said may have been true, but the dude is still 45 years older and more experienced than I. I should have just kept my thoughts to myself. Or hell, if you want to jaw, why don't you actually win the games when you play Rafer? That should keep his mouth shut. Deron Williams is much better than him, he just doesn't get the media love CP3 gets.
I can agree with most of that. Just trying to state the other side of the argument. CP3 has never come out and said anything like that before and he shouldn't start now or ever because his game speaks for itself. I feel he wanted to stick up for his teammate but for Chandler that makes CP3 look bad. I will not argue against the Derron part except I think they are both great players and Williams is a better scorer and stronger in the paint.
13 pts, 3.5 boards, 6 assists If that doesn't meet your definition of solid, then let me know what does. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3282 In his 9 year career, he averages a total of 10 pts and 5 assists per game with just 2 turnovers. That's real good when you consider he didn't even really play at all his 1st 3 years. That tends to skew your averages pretty bad. Dude isn't a superstar, but anyone who watches Houston play often knows that when he plays well, we're tough to beat. Ask N.O. and Dallas.
You really think SA will lose 2 of their next 5? Yep, they lost today to Phoenix, as scripted. Houston, your #2 seed is awaiting you.
Nah ... I think Houston will run out of steam, and when the do.... it might be curtains for them. The only Western Conference team I think Houston can beat in the playoffs would be Golden State, but Houston would have to get the #1 seed to play the Warriors. The Western Conference is LOADED!!! :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I think it's real funny how a lot of people tell me "The Rockets never won anything, man, they will fall apart." But they believe the Hornets (a team who hasn't won anything) will win it all. It's funny to me. It's all about the matchups and who plays who. (See: GS v. Dallas)
I think the Hornets lack of playoff experience may end up getting them. I like the Lakers, Spurs, Mavs and Suns in the West. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
