Arthroscopic knee surgery for Beckwith Bryan Lazare TigerBait.com LSU linebacker Darry Beckwith said that he will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery some time on Monday. Beckwith left the game last Saturday against Alabama in the second quarter with a knee injury. This sucks, I know we are more than ok with backup LB's, but he was a leader on the field.
wow that sucks, maybe depending on what they find or are cleaning up, he maybe could be back for the NC. get better, darry. :thumb:
Thats what I'm thinking....er, hoping. arthroscopic surgery isnt that big a deal. Absolute best case, he will be out 4 weeks, worst case, 8 weeks. Thats right about the time of the New Years Day bowls.
This doesn't really tell us much - just the type of procedure, not the reason. Does anyone have more information? There's a chance he won't miss more than a few weeks.
I had arthroscopic knee surgery last summer. I was walking the day of the surgery and then went through 6-8 weeks of PT. Hopefully, he can be back by the bowl game.
They said on the radio this morning that he'd rest this week and would likely be back for Ole Miss. Shrug.
I had this kind of surgery in high school (7years ago) and I was also walking the day of the surgery. I was back playing basketball in 3 weeks. Hope things go as good for him, he has been playing well.
From what I have seen with other NFL players with this type of procedure they were playing 2 weeks later. I don't think its that serious. I would guess he could come back for the Arkansas game, when we will really need him.
