What do you mean by that? I must've missed something because I always thought him to be the beacon of integrity.
I will agree it was a petty move by Shula. I suspect MS thought it was the proverbial "shot across the bow" at Croom. But, weighing one action versus the number of things Croom has been up to doesn't just make the scale tip heavily, the scale falls over.
Since you're comprehension skills seem to be lacking, I'll ask you more bluntly. Exactly which off-field actions of Croom's has led you to lose respect for Coach Croom? What exactly did Coach Croom do that was worse than the antics of Coach Shula?
He's turned in UA at least 9X to the NCAA for violations. The worst case was a recruiting brochure that happened to be a little under a quarter of an inch too wide. He's brought the proverbial race card into this situation countless times. Never mind the fact that when he was interviewed and asked what his plan was for the team he said, "I don't have a plan." The list goes on, and on, and on...but I'm not going to waste time going over all the deals with him on any forum. Let's sum it up this way. He holds a huge grudge against UA because he didn't get the job. Yet, he screwed up the interview. His recourse, as you can see, has been hiring as many coaches as he can that hold similar grudges. You have the Ellis Johnson hire that was a guy fired, then filed a law suit because he wasn't paid when his contract stated if he found another job his compensation ended. You have McCorvey who felt he should have had the job after Stallings left. Look at the staff he's put together. Put a coach on the recruiting trail using a race card and you'll find your lack of respect growing as well.
I am sure it is some of that insider info that terry and bayoutider possess that should not be shared.:geaux:
Pssst. The coach that turns Bama in is NOT at fault. Bama breaking the rules is at fault. I've never really read where he has played it, but I don't follow state all that closely, so I'll take your word for it. Dude, if that's the worst you got on him, it ain't much. The nerve of the man. How dare an SEC coach put together a staff that doesn't absolutely love Bama. If you hate him because he and his staff hate Bama, you need to start hating every other SEC head/assistant coach. Because none of them particularly love any other SEC staff. It comes with the territory. This I won't disagree with, assuming it's true.
