I didn't watch the South Carolina game but is Monk back to his last season production?

Do you remember the WVU vs MSU game last year? WVU passed 7 times in that game because MSU couldn't stop the run. Arkansas was 9 for 11 passing the ball against USCe.

    11 attempts.

6 different receivers caught the ball that day with their FB and their TE having as many receptions as Monk did. His stats for the game doesn't reflect what he's capable of and using the USCe game as an example, IMO, isn't a good one.

Arkansas rushed for over 540+ yards against USCe. Why pass the ball?

    651 yards of total offense.

I used USCe as an example Terry because i think Nutt is throwing him out there to try and save his job, or at least use him as a scape goat to explain away why the passing game isn't developing.

If you can explain what Nutt is thinking you are a football guru in my opinion!

There isn't any question that there is a ? mark over the Arkansas passing game. Although, I have to point out it wouldn't be the case if Malzahn and Mustain were still at Arkansas.

Matt Jones had talent passing the ball...but his legs saved them on more than one occasion.

A game I'm looking forward to watching is the LSU vs Arkansas game. How much success will Arkansas have running the ball?

Nutt has been criticized by some Arkansas fans for either running off top tier talent or falling to develop it. I will never understand why Nutt pulled Mustain last year.

I think UT takes it in a high scoring but close game.
    UT by 3 points.

Mustain was making mistakes, but the same mistakes you would expect a freshman to make. Personally, and this is just my supposition, I think it was more of a power move against Malzahn.

There were and still are lots of Arkansas fans who wanted Malzahn to be totally in charge of the offense. There was reportedly a lot of friction on the coaching staff and that filtered down into the team. That has continued this year on both the coaching staff and the team. It remains to be seen what will happen, but there are several big donors who want Nutt gone at the end of the year. So I agree with TerryP's assessemnt - Nutt wanted to be perceived as being in charge of the program.
