I know it's not about LSU FB but I assume some here care about SEC games in general. So I'm curious who ya'll think will win the Arky vs. Tenn. game. Do you think the Vols can stop McFadden? I'm going with Arkansas.
I'm going with Arkansas. Tennessee's defense is just awful. It will be a high scoring affair, something along the lines of 45-34. Arkansas' defense has played much better as of late. McFadden has a Heisman to win. And he may be an Oregon loss away from winning it.
I've only watched one Tennessee game and in it they couldn't stop the pass. As some may know Arkansas can't pass. It comes down again to stopping the run. A lot of people at hogville want Nutt gone. I think Tennessee wins, just a gut feeling.
I see this completely differently. When Arkansas face two teams that could pass the ball, USCe and UK, they were torched by both teams. Ainge is a good QB, and given time he can pick a defense apart. That puts the work load on the UT OL where they have the advantage against the Ark. DL. I see it close, but the advantage going to Arkansas simply because of Jones and McFadden. Arkansas, but by less than a TD. On the flip side, UT hasn't been able to stop the run this year. Heck, when they played Ark. St. they allowed on of their back 125+ on the ground. USCe's back put over 150 on them.
Both of these teams have shown major inconsistency this season. This is a hard game to call. Sure UT can put 8-9 in the box and force Arky to throw, which they don't do well. But, the one thing about a bad pass defense is that they can make an average passing game look good. I also think that Arky can do so many different things with DMAC and Felix Jones that they will be able to create different mismatches that can confuse UT's front seven or eight or nine. So, I guess I am leaning towards an Arky win. An Arky win bodes well for us should they win again before coming to B.R. On the other hand, a UT loss is only good if UGA defeats Auburn. Whatever works out best for LSU is what I am pulling for.:thumb:
I think Ark will win, but I am pulling for Tenn. because I don't want them out of the hunt yet as a possible SEC championship opponent. Don't forget about Monk being back healthy with Arkansas. This gives them at least some semblance of a passing game. The QB doesn't have to be that good. Just throw it up and let Monk, as big as he is, jump and fight for the ball.
