Sure, it passes the time, but it's really unnecessary. If LSU wins 4 more games, they will have beaten 7 ranked teams (because after the Hogs smack around Tennessee in Knoxville, they'll be ranked again), 6 of them from the best conference in America, which the Tigers will be champions of. There isn't a thing Oregon can do about it. I don't care if they flip the friggin' scoreboard vs. Arizona, UCLA, and Oregon State. They'll stay #3 in the BCS. The only thing LSU has to worry about is Kansas running the table. And, hey, if they beat Mizzou and Oklahoma back-to-back, they'll deserve to play for the BCS title. That ain't gonna happen. :tigerhead
I know Nebraska hasn't had the best season. But, hanging 76 points on them was a feat. Kansas had 90 plays on offense that game, over half of them running the ball. I agree with the point if they win out, they deserve to be in the game. That'll be beating two top 10 BCS teams plus the team they face in the Big 12 Championship game.
agreed, KU is having a awesome season. But I don't think they can beat Mizzou straight up. They might have a shot at OU, cause the sooners haven't really impressed me. When it's counted ie Colorado, ISU, they've had bad games. I think there's more of a chance that OSU loses to Michigan. UM is playing good ball, and they will be Jacked up for the OSU game. The key to the BCS here is, don't lose any late games.
I dissagree that Kansas deserves to be there if they win out. They are not the 1st or 2nd best team in the country 4th or 5th at best. I don't care if they go undefeated or not. Half the teams they played where crappy. I think even Bama could be undefeated at this point with their schedule. The only reason tOSU is there is because of their rep and they are undefeated. They are not better than Oregon or LSU, I bet OU could beat them too. Auburn got screwed in 04 it's time for another conference to take one up the azz. I hope that one of those two loses because I wouldn't even watch the game if they both make it.
I can't answer that. I know they put 39 points on the board, but I didn't watch enough of the game to be able to offer a opinion on whether they gave up or not. It was one of those games I had in PIP that I was just glancing at occasionally.
One of Nebraska's big recruits is Dan Hock. He verballed to them when he was about 3 years old. Anyway, he was at that game for his official visit... and left there reopening his search. He will be at the Iowa game this weekend against the Goofies. "The team seemed to just quit" is one of his comments.
Nebraska only gave up 7 points in the 4th quarter... yeah they where down 69-31 but hey that is a moral victory... right? :hihi:
