This guy tried to temper his frustration over getting beat yesterday. He does make some good points. Penalties are coaching and lack of discipline. Granted maybe 2 or 3 of those calls were BS but we still committed over 10 penalties...Ugly.
i know what you're saying, while there won't be much talent drop off, senior leadership IS a big deal. plus LSU's schedule (like AU's) is lopsided in even and odd years. if we're going to have a year for reloading i'd rather do it in an even year anyway.
Agreed, that LSU did not play their best but I see the problems as self created. No way one could believe that bama 'forced' LSU into half of those penalties or turnovers. It should make him feel worse that we played bad in their house, won and dominated the stats.
That's bullchit! Next years team will be even more talented on offense than this one. Our defense will be questionable but I think they can perform as good as this years D. One thing is for sure we'll wax Bama's azz again next year. :thumb:
But both you and I know that star rating doesn't mean anything if it doesn't turn into production on the field. Tyrone Prothro was a 3 star coming out of high school. I'm sure before he got hurt most teams would have loved to have him. DeMeco Ryans, last years NFL Rookie of the Year was a 3 star coming out of high school. I don't buy into the whole star thing, its mostly just media hype.
What makes you think LSU is not getting production out of it's recruits? We've got several 2 and 3 star starters. You are kidding your self if you think LSU is gonna stop getting good players just because Saban is at Bama. Next years class will be a hell of a class for us I expect top 5.
I'm not saying that, I'm just saying that sometimes a 5 star player on paper doesn't turn into a 5 star play on the field. It happens everywhere. Matt Caddell was highly regarded coming out of high school, and is just now becoming productive in his senior year.
Yeah, but is it not the star ratings that have all the Bama fans saying you will be back the next few years? :milesmic:
With the exception of the 5 year portion at the end of the article, it's difficult to disagree with much of what was said. Truth is we have regressed in far too many areas as the season has gone on, but hopefully we can turn that around coming into the home stretch.
