Yes, that's his buyout right now. I'm sure it'll change next year, but not sure at what date.

What I find ironic (and it's nothing to base a theory on that the move might take place) is Fran's buyout was 8m and according to reports it's been negotiated to 2m...leaving?

FWIW, when it comes to money, the Ag's Alumni group looks at 6m as chump change. However, you have to weigh that against 6m on a buyout and then a contract for 4-8 years worth???

It's a hell of a lot of money but you never know...

While I do bet on college football games, I do it with some knowledge on how the game will play itself out. Betting against Tubs leaving or for Tubs leaving is just uncertain. I honestly see both sides of this story and can see it going either way.

Because they don't have a shot at Saban. As much as you may want to convince yourself he's on their table, you know deep down they won't.

Consider this. Fran's buyout is 8m and has been reportedly negotiated down to 2m. Leaving how much?

The idea that a 6m dollar buyout is something that would be a problem for A&M is ludicrous. Is it a smart thing to do? No, by no means.

The current number being floated around is 3.5 per year. It'll be a gamble for A&M, but with Tx beginning to look stagnant again it's something they might consider.

It's easy to explain the "IF Saban is better" point you tried to make...

So, you are saying Lowder, Raines, etc. don't have as much say in what's happening on the Plains now as they did a few years ago? I'll look forward to seeing what your first hand information is tomorrow night/Friday.

I don't know your intent, but it seems to be an effort to deflect the rumors that are circulating right now. I know you've blamed them on a lot of different factions...some of the Auburn fan base is even saying it's an Alabama ploy.

Tubs is avoiding the questions and I don't blame him.

All I can say is I have no clue what he's thinking. But, there are reasonable suspicions something could transpire. IF there wasn't, I don't think you would be posting questions about different scenarios.

    I hope he stays.

If your supposition is true, and I'm not sure it is, but if it is then the answer is obvious:

    They're Aggies.

CTT is not considering a move to TAMU. The only folks buying-in to that rumor are the Finebaum rubes.

CTT has provided a written wish list to the administration and an agreement has been prepared for his review after Thanksgiving. They will not be playing match-game with the Saban agreement, contrary to popular perception.

Personally, it's irrelevant what UAT elects to do with their coach and program, IMHO. Auburn simply needs to focus on Auburn, and Tuberville needs to focus on the only thing he can do to improve his leverage in contract negotiations - beating UGA and Alabama.

And BTW, the perceived rift between BL and CTT has been largely resolved over the past 3 years. They aren't running buddies, but it isn't the chilly relationship that it once was in 2002-2003. Those that believe that a vendetta remains are severely underestimating Lowder's considerable business skills.

IF I understand you correctly, the national media are Finebaum rubes?

Like I've said before, I don't know what will end up happening. I can see it both ways.

By "national media," are you referring to the same geniuses that stated that Spurrier was a candidate for the Alabama job when everybody and their brother knew that he wasn't ? C'mon, Terry ..... you've always impressed me as being a bit smarter than that ....:nope:

Stay on the same sheet of music here CA. You said the only people buying into that rumor are Finebaum rubes. It's all over the national media. You tried to throw this one off on Finebaum listeners and that was what was questioned.
