Just decommitted from FSU and has LSU written all over him. Looks like we are beefing up the OL a bit.

I’m liking 2021 more and more. According to Dandy Don he committed just after midnight
There’s nothing like starting the new year with a BOOM! That’s right, just one minute into the year 2021, LSU picked up a commitment from offensive lineman Kimo Makaneole of Niceville, Florida. Makaneole is the versatile lineman who was previously committed to Florida State but did not sign in the early period. Listed as a guard, Makaneole has the size (6-4, 285) and athleticism to play either guard or tackle and is a great get. Check out Makaneole’s video highlights

How can he only be a 3-star?

Im exaggerating, but there are like 2 guards above 3 stars in the country. I don’t get it other than to say that most OL need to mature because strength is so important.

He's playing tackle in all those hilites, and looks to me like he has the footwork to play tackle in college. I think the rankings are projecting him as a guard because he looks like a mauler-type blocker, but that's going to be the case with a Power 5 level recruit in high school. At 285, I can't picture him playing inside.

He’ll be 315-ish by end of summer playing left guard.

Highest rated guard in the state of Louisiana comes in at #116. Germany had one rated higher.

    That’s tough sledding
