fundamentals will be fine. an early season loss against a top 20 team is not enough to drop that hard of a condemnation. last year this happened, lost to houston and ok state. then turned it on. i dont like it, but losses happen in basketball. i want to see more bishop, more bench play. guys are tired late, mentally if not physically.
playing only 6 players is an issue. our defense was great but we wore down. outscored 36-6 bench second half. skylars best game ever but martin is right, his handles arent great esp late when pressure is on. javonte is bigger and less chance to get bodied. Big opportunity lost. Wade really wanted this one.
came out with mad energy. got run down. i am not at practice, i dont see how well hyatt and bishop are playing. but man i would like to see em come out early in the second half and tire themselves out, leaving energy for the starters to finish with. in the NBA, which i never watched until recently, they play the bench guys alot. they play second teams. i know nobody has that kind of talent in college. but surely energy of fresh guys is good for something? bishop is such a smooth player i wanna see him out there. need marlon taylor back. need to find time for other bench players. also, just because you are red hot doesnt mean you should keep flinging up 3's forever. let javonte take it to the rack. you dont stay nuclear hot forever. you take your wins at roulette, and keep your winnings before the odds get you.
Utah St being a Top 20 team is a stretch. The only reason for Watford to be on the court is because fuckups now might mean success later. I’d rather see Bishop and his eyebrows get opportunities to run point. Smart and Mays aren’t point guys.
well if its a stretch its the actual rankings doin the stretching, not me. they really are ranked. white guys with fundies and size are often top teams
They could be there at end of year, but because a weak SOS. I don’t see em getting out of round of 32.
I meant Utah St. Mays is sneaky good, but I expect this team will look a lot different as the season continues. Waters and KBW were bad-asses.
