1. Still a sliding scale but I believe there is a minimum on the ACT that needs to be met but not sure what that is if there is one.

This was the reason why he couldn't enroll early at UF. He still has a long time to get it straight but it does indeed look like he is headed to Juco for 2 years and then he will be recruited again if he has the grades.

  3. Thanks Bhelm. That makes sense, thinking back during my HS years I think 18 was the minimum for LSU. Again, might have changed now. Red would know better I'm sure.

I just checked and basically it's 2-3% that score 14 or lower, in the entire nation. People were talking about people that scored a 15 as banging rocks together. Pretty crazy stuff. I think Twisted was right. forest gump would have scored a 15.
  4. The valedictorian at my high school in Livingston Parish the year before I graduated made a 9.
  5. I didn't know Vince Young was from LP...
  6. I don't know what to make of that.

  7. Damn, where did you go to school?
  8. Well I assume the valedictorian actually had a 4.0 GPA in high school. That's why I don't understand the 9 on the ACT.
  9. I was thinkin something else...
  10. Yes, she did, but my school wasn't great at all.

I felt underprepared for my first semester at LSU; however, I quickly caught up and was fine.

When I was at my 25 year reunion over Thanksgiving, there were many people there who had never bothered to leave and live somewhere else. They were now parents with kids in the same high school and were bitching and complaining about it being a bad school.

Well, no shit, Sherlock. That's why I left 25 years ago and never looked back. I sought out good public schools for my kids.
