Just depends on if he can get everything done in the classroom to graduate early. If he does a decision will have to made in December so he can enroll.

I have heard that it is not going to be easy for him to get it done but it is possible and he sort of confirmed that today with one of his statement about hitting the books hard.

If he does not graduate early, I would say he would do it at an All-star game, some other time in January, or NSD.

Ok I have read the last two pages on this thread, to see if I could tell who has the lead for young Mr. Seastrunk. But for the life of me, when I think LSU has the lead I read a post on this thread that makes me think LSU dosen't have a shot. BhelmLSU, could you give me a little hint where you think Young Mr. Seastrunk stands today?

I have always said LSU is in the lead and the 6 day visit and his mom's comments confirm what I still believe based on the info I have gathered.

I think the final piece of the puzzle will be a solid season. 10 wins and I don't think he'll be able to go elsewhere.

we dont let storm commit apparently.

then offer a guy who is a sign and place(Blue).

and now accept Ware's commitment who is a potential MLB draftee or at least splits time here between baseball/football.

sounds like the coaches are trying to entice Lache with a 2nd RB who might not even be apart of this class.

I just think there is a bit too much paranoia about Lache's sensitivity to a crowded backfield.

These guys we are targeting are totally different backs and would not take away from his carries or the plays we would have scripted for a speedy play making back. He will be the man and the go to guy if he is as good as advertised and he knows it.

These other guys are window dressing. Quite good window dressing, I might add.

If you think you are the best your shouldn't be afraid of competition. What these guys should be worried about is going to a school that is going to give them 25+ carries a game and after 2-4 years have no knees left. What I think you want is an opportunity to show what you have in situations that give you the best chance of success. There is very little doubt in my mind that LSU does that with their RBs. Everything is tailored around the RBs and their abilities.

If you want to be the best you must compete with the best.

Lache to me is a 8-15 touches a game kind of guy in college, well where are the other 20-25 carries going to come from? You pretty much need 2-3 main guys and in LSU's setup probably bordering on 4.

What is crazy is it's not like LSU has a bunch of backs in the mix right now... LSU could get 3 this year and 2 next year and still have room.

Lache SHOULD enjoy a school like LSU who has several power backs to compliment him. If anything, it takes wear/tear off his body preparing him for the NFL. If he got 10 touches a game and was electric, trust me, the NFL will take notice. They draft on potential and if he had a godly combine, that alone would soar his stock way up. Someone like Auburn, might be forced to put him on the field more because they're a bit more desperate and could possibly cause a premature injury on him. It will take time for his body to fill out, he doesn't need to be the "guy" his freshman year. He needs to develop and put on muscle. Not like hes getting drafted after his first two years anyway. He could ride the bench the first two seasons and still be a first round pick with a big Junior campaign. I'm sure he realizes this...we're fine with him.

Auburn and Tennessee come to mind.

900-1100 carries college careers are mostly a thing of the past. Look at Chris Wells he was on his way to 850+ carries career until he got hurt last year, he still had almost as many carries as Scott yet missed 2 more games. In his sophomore he had just about as many carries in one year that Scott had in 3 years. That is just dumb for the kid and the school.

You could do this 15-30 years ago... the D-lines are just so much bigger, stronger and faster. A knee or ankle is a very delicate thing, nobody is tough when they get hit in the knees by a 300lb DT.

If your team doesn't have a plan to spread the carries in today's game eventually your horse will fall. IMHO

Whether you have 3 guys or not you have to run 3 guys, in LSU's case 4 is not out the question.

I'm hearing that Lache will more than likely count Texas out of the running if they give him a "commit now or fahgetaboutit" ultimatum. Rivals radio is saying that they are thinking LSU and FWIW Dandy Don puts Lache at 80/20 being an LSU Tiger.

It's all heresay and no one knows but Lache....but I feel really good about Lache coming to Baton Rouge.

It would sure get the bad taste out of my mouth that I still have from getting played like a fiddle by Joe McKnight.
