assuming LSU isn't in the title game, what bowl would you like to see the Tigers play in AND assuming LSU isn't facing Ohio St or Oregon in the title game, who would you like to see LSU play in the bowl season. my pick would be Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
Well, if we don't play in the title game but win the SEC, wouldn't we go to the Sugar Bowl regardless? I'd prefer that, since I already have tickets to that (and the BCS game, for that matter, since they came together). I would like to play Michigan, though. Other than them, maybe Kansas or better yet, USC.
I don't think it would be possible at all for us to play in the Rose Bowl this year. We will either be in the National Championship game or the Sugar Bowl if we win the SECCG. We will be tied into the Sugar Bowl as SEC Champs no matter what I believe. Last year we almost made the rose bowl but as an at-large team since we weren't in the SECCG but we were ranked high enough for a BCS bid. However, I would love to play Ohio State/Michigan. It would be great for our program. Either them or Texas (Revenge from 2003).
just my opinion, but I don't think a Sugar Bowl is likely. I think if LSU wins 'em all, they will play for :crystal: LSU's most likely loss is the SECCG, which would give that automatic birth to the team who would defeat LSU.
Sugar bowl becomes possible with a loss to either ole miss or Arkansas and a win in the seccg. I think this is certainly possible.
there are still a BILLION options due to how many games are left by all teams involved. several top 10 teams are going to lose games still. we could end up in Rose if say we lose SECCG and OSU and Oregon play for the title. then we might end up playing Arizona St in the Rose or something like that. just too many factors to say
1. win out and win SECCG we're in the NC game. 2. win out and lose SECCG, maybe Chicken-fillet, orlando bowl. 3. lose one of remaining reg season games and win SECCG, Sugar Bowl. Do we get into a BCS game if we lose the SECCG?
That's a good question. If Hawaii goes undefeated, would they make it in ala Boise St. last year? If so, it would make it that much tougher to get an at large bid. But to answer Claire's question, if we don't make it to the NC game, Oklahoma in the Fiesta or Michigan in the Rose would be cool. I lean more towards a Michigan matchup since none of us have ever seen it.
