Why did the Saints select Antonion Pittman?

    Then they traded up for him...some of the selections from some teams make no sense. Must be the end to Aaron Stecker maybe. I really would like them to pick Chris Leak in a later round for a good back up to Brees compared to what we have now.

    Right, in the NFL you need good 3rd RBs and Pittman is another fast RB that can be moved around to open up the field. He is a great SP teams palyers as well. I would have liked them to fill a bigger need but the Saints went for value here.

    If Pittman works out, then Deuce will be trade-bait in 08...

    I was curious about this pick as well. RB doesn't seem to be a position of need, and definitely not one worthy of trading up for.

    I'm telling you.. now that bush is "the man", they are looking to the future when they can offload deuce and his big cap number..

    Deuce brings an awful lot to the table. Not only is he a great RB but has a great attitude as well. Sometimes you have to pay for that. I'd sure hate to see him go next year. I hope you are wrong.
