In honor of the App. St. Mountaineers, it would be awesome if the Golden Band from Tiger Land played their own version of this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyKvD-4IxOY Heh... Friend of mine said he has been to ASU... apparently they don't really have much of a town there... just a School, some Mountains, and Lots of Weed...
Boone is ABSO-F'ING-LUTELY beautiful. It's a fun little town with lots of quaint shops and gorgeous scenery. I used to live about an hour west in Tennessee and we would make trips over just to go shopping. Everyone should get the chance to see that kind of beauty at least once.
It's a whole different kinda beautiful though. It's like comparing Adriana Lima to Jessica Simpson... or whatever :hihi: You are right though.
Ditto. Three of my golf buddies and I took a trip golf trip up in that area a couple of years ago and it is a beautiful area, so is the campus.:thumb:
<--- Was in Asheville last fall. Beautiful territory. Anywhere around the Smokey's, Appalachians, etc would be a great place to retire (as long as I can have Directv and watch the Tigers .. or maybe linking up to the chickenwire).
I lived just outside of Asheville in Marion for a couple of years. My favorite place to go was Boone. Especially in the winter when there was some snow. I would go to Sugar Mountain and try to kill myself on skis. Really beautiful in the fall. Yancy county had some scary people though.
