We will see how much they embrace him when they lose their first game.

The honeymoon could end if UT spanks them

They had over 56000 at their spring game. Leak threw for 12-21.

Let's analyze this shall we. Florida gets rid of a coach that they collectively hate for one that is hyped up by the media as one of the best in the business. They are pumped up. LSU loses a coach that we collectively love for one that the media says we "settled" for. Our fans don't seem to be pumped up. I, for one, don't like the vibes I'm feeling. It seems like everyone is scared and just holding their breath for some big let down. I'm not speaking about anyone in paticular on here, just fans I talk to from day to day in general. Our spring game is in less than a week and I'm not hearing alot of people talking about it. Where is the excitment? This has always been an upbeat event.

That's just it, Coach Miles has had a whole lot more success than Meyers. He was a proven winner in a big time conference with an over achieving team. If you put Meyers and Miles in front of me and told me to choose I'd have chosen Miles. And I'm not just saying that because he's the one we have either. I'd looked at them on paper and the choice would have been easy.

Yea, he's got to field a team first. I don't remember the discipline being to bad under him at Florida. He might get it together. How are things at Gordon? Sick of the army yet?

Help me here... hyped coaches of late

    1) Francione (sp) to Tx A&M from Bama.... nice game against UT.
    2) Mike Price to Bama from WaSt... nice room tab.
    3) Gary Barnett to Colo from NW... nice use of remote control.
    4) Spurrier from Redskins to red-faced.
    5) Pope Urban from Utah to Fla... (I think there's enough of a trend here to make one want to at least see a couple of sermons)

The future for these guys is going to be very interesting indeed.

Franchione -- Most people around here, including a good number of UT fans, are optimistic or concerned (matter of perspective) about how just how good he'll get that program. Their future is looking up...WAY up.

Price -- Did a great job at UTEP, with the previous coach's talent. The next couple years should be interesting, especially since they don't have hotels with room service in El Paso.

Barnett -- what an embarassment...did he do this kinda stuff at NW???

Spurrier -- Almost back where he belongs...

Meyer -- A complete unknown, IMO.
