The best beef jerky is...?

    Besides homemade, what brand(s) do y'all recommend?

    Benoit's across the river makes some fine beef jerky. Most folks just get the sausage and smoked meats . . but try the jerky sometime.

    i don't eat alot of beef jerky so i can't recommend a brand, but i did want to share this really neat website (it even has beef jerky recipes).....very well done: http://www.greatjerky.com/

    I like a good old "Slim Jim."

    Yeah, technically it's not beef jerky. It's a beef stick. Close enough for me. And, they do sit side-by-side in the stores.

    Jack Links is pretty good stuff. I had a fraternity brother of mine who used to sell that stuff. He'd bring a few boxes by the house so we didn't starve or drink our selves to death. We burped beef jerkey for months.
