will now carry out the second part of her master plan, having already stolen the 2000 presidential election to make sure she can retire with a Republican replacement. On the other hand, that might be a good thing, since she has proven herself a criminal rather than a justice.

Oh goody! Another anti-Bush liberal. Was Sandra Day the only one of the Supreme Court who decided the Florida Election issue? Since you don't post too often, I'll repeat for your benefit: "BUSH WON. GET OVER IT!!!

No, she was helped by 4 other criminals...

all of whom violated their oaths as justices. Rehnquist was a criminal even before that, having perjured his way onto the bench.

And, had they decided in favor of Gore (and millions of us thank God every day they didn't) I assume you would have no problem with their (allegedly) criminal history?

    What they SHOULD have decided

was not in favor of either candidate, but in favor of the State of Florida and its voters, honoring that state's right to choose its own electors, rather than writing bogus deadlines into Florida law.

There is no guarantee that Gore would have won any recounts, so "if they had ruled for Gore" is not even a pertinent question. The case name is a misnomer... it was actually Bush vs. the Florida Supreme Court and Legal System, rather than Bush vs. Gore.

The important thing is that they got it right. Bush has proven that he is the right man for the job.

You miss the forest for the trees. Bush did not "sink the stock market" and he cannot be held responsible for the current economy which is predictably, cyclically (is that a word"?) on a downward trend. Al Queda is the culprit. Bush did what he had to do. America was attacked on it's shores and retaliation and national defense were the only correct actions to take. The economy be damned, Bush had the kahunas to act. Once the safety of Americans is assured, the administration can take steps to solve domestic ills. Until then, get off your ass and do whatever you need to do to keep going. Quit depending on the government to make your life easier.

IMO the current economy is skitish due to the internet bust. The internet was trumped and pitched to be the best thing since sliced bread and people bought it hook, line, and sinker. All someone had to do was put an "i" or an "e" and investors would flock like sheep (funny, the call the repub's sheep). These startups were buying technology like crazy boosting the tech companies.

Well.... People realized the crap they were being fed, sold out, investors lost a ton of money, the startups stopped buying tech and flooded the market with nearly new equipment causing the tech sector to fall, and BAM we get our current economy. Terrorism and the war may have slowed growth a little bit, but history says the econmy booms after a war (where we won). IMO this time it will be different because of the "e" crash.

Bringing it back will not be easy because investors are afraid they will lose their ass again. What the answer is, I have no clue. But bloating the internet did more long term harm than good.

Well, one thing's for sure: the dividend tax cut won't do it. They should have cut the employer side of payroll taxes; that would have done more to create jobs. Most of the people who benefit from the dividend tax cut are doing well already.
