    As of today, Rivals is reporting...

    >>> Auburn has...
    5 Three Stars & 1 J/C with NONE from the state of Alabama!

    >>> Alabama has...
    5 Four Stars, 3 Three Stars & 2 Two Stars with all but one from Alabama.

    Give the devil his due, he can recruit.

    Here's the link to Rivals...

    It's pretty impressive what Saban's doing so far. Keep in mind that it's still early though. But really it's kind of amazing to see how Auburn isn't really a big factor for most of the best prospects in Alabama. They're all looking hard at Bama and out of state schools. Auburn seems to be an afterthought.

    Then again, Auburn has excelled recently at finding diamonds in the rough, and often focuses heavily on out of state players anyway.

    But Saban won't be able to recruit against Tubberville.

    Good Lord.

    Saban is doing pretty good but it's way too early to crown him king of recruiting in Alabama or anywhere else.

    given his success at :lsup: it's foolish to think he can't recruit the gumps. he's a national championship winning coach. given the love those from alabummer have for the bling (see JR) all $aban has to do is flash the ring and the little gumps are hooked. gump parents, relatives, virtually the entire state is heavily invested in his success. if you were a gump (shudder the thought) you would become an immortal in gumpville if you helped bring them back from the dead.

    Alabama has a lot of in-state talent this year, Saban should have a good class.

    so did he not want the two 3star OL from AL that uga got?

    perhaps the fact that all his commits are from AL means that no one out of state has drunk the kool aid.

    Rumor I heard is that the guy from Bibb County High School got an offer from UGA and took it, then got an offer from Bama but is sticking with his commitment to UGA. For now.
