I think 12-4 would be about right. Maybe a loss at Mississippi State and a win at USC.

Although I don't disagree with the ultimate L column (maybe 5 losses, just for the unexpected off night), I'd just say beware of Georgia and perhaps a let down against Ole Miss. Both teams that always seem to match up against us or play very hard against us... Ole Miss is 3-0 in the SEC West and Georgia always seem to have big guards that give us problems.

But, I'm looking forward to a good run and a rockin' PMAC for the SEC! :geauxtige

    I'd take 12-4 and a 2 or 3 seed.

I can respect that...You're respcting your team but being realistic in the same. You're not one of the ones saying "so who is left that's gonna beat us"? You guys are loaded with talent yeah...But you're still young and inexperienced. People seem to forget that.

Also, you seem to be the only Tiger fan that thinks you'll lose in Coleman Coliseum. I also think the game at Oxford will be tough for you guys. Call me crazy but I think Barnes is doing a good job this year. I think you can steal a win in Columbia---IF they dont shoot the lights out like they did in Lexington. You guys just dont have the perimeter shooting to hang with USC on a good day. --those are my only tweaks with your schedule.

like most SEC teams, LSU CAN beat anyone, but this is a best guess. barnes seems to always have them ready to play. itll be a good experience for this team to overcome pesky players like they have. theyll need to be motivated and not get frustrated by them.

the SEC is "down" this year largely because UK is down. but the bottom is up, so more than ever there is no gimmie. (except maybe auburn).

im hoping yesterdays game was a turning point for tasmin mitchell's outside shooting. if he starts hitting a third of those, watch out.

I think the Ole Miss game will be a tough one as well. Anytime Ole Miss has the chance to beat LSU in anything, they seem to play better than usual. Considering their early conference record, that could make for a close game, but that's about all. My Pick: LSU

As for bama in Coleman, sure it will be a tough game to go in and win. However, I think that LSU has the skills and players to shut down Bama's key players when it matters. The crowd won't bother LSU much, it hasn't yet this season. My pick: LSU

Florida will be tough and that is a matchup I can't wait to see. The big men inside for Florida going up against Davis and Thomas whould be a good indicator of how good we really are. I suspect this game will be a learning experience for this young team. My pick: Florida

Tennessee may ultimately be LSU's hardest remaining game, simply because of the heated actions and comments during and after the game at LSU. Of course, they're a well-coached team too with 25k+ in the stands backing them. If ever crowd noise will be a factor, that game will be it. My pick: Tennessee

Ultimately I agree with gumborue's 12-4 prediction. In the sec, any team can beat you. Those other two losses could come when we least expected. Perhaps to an Arkansas or Mississippi State at home for example, or a Vandy on the road.

Please for all thats worth...Drop that game! :hihi: I just think State may be close to the bottom of the barrell this year in the SEC. They have some problems over there.

As for the game in Coleman...They are going to make adjustments on that you can count on it. I dont see JD having such game again--Steele either. Another thing that is going to be different. I dunno if you noticed but Baby didn't get his first foul till the second half. He was very physical, and while the refs called the game consistant, it wont be as physical in Coleman. Look for him to pick up a foul early in that game. I'm really ready for this game! I think we'll have a great turn-out and it'll be LOUD.

That's my biggest concern. The refs definitely let them play yesterday. But look for Davis and Hendix to get in trouble too if they call the game tight.
