Since when did any of us know enough to doubt Saban and his staff? I know Randall isn't exactly Joe Montana but if the staff thinks he is the best then he more than likley is the best, Let's just put our trust in Saban and the staff to put the best 22 on the field. Whoever is #1 out of Spring let's support him 100% no matter who it is. Georgia, Arkansas, Auburn, and the rest are our real adversaries and we should trust Saban (our National Championship winning Coach) to put the best QB on the field...stop worrying about!!!

I think what he is saying is that there has been too much Marcus Randall bashing going on and that the coaching staff certainly knows better than we do who to trust running the offense, be it Randall or the freshmen.

Reminds me (sort of ) of Demitrius Hookfin's junior year. Everyone wanted him off of the field. Saban sent the message that he was the best that we had at the time and would start someone better if he had someone. The point being, Saban isn't going to start someone or keep someone off of he field to make a point. He is going to start the best player he has period. I personally respect all of our QB's. Marcus Randall could have transferred. Russel and Flynn could have gone somewhere else (like Ole Miss) in order to avoid having to compete for a starting job. Saban will have the best player on the field, book it !

I love Saban. But to say he plays the best player is not true. Look at Vincent if Addai and Carey dont get hurt vincent would have not been SEC and NC MVP. He gives the upper classmen the oppurtunity to be a leader and make an impact, but i do not know if i would say he plays the best player.

Maybe Vincent had not yet shown that he deserved to start, ever think of that? Maybe, just maybe he had troubles at practice in some form or the other. When a coach has 2 returning RB's with experience they are usually going to get the first shot but he was working all of them into the mix and I would be willing to bet the house that J.V. would have kept getting more and more playing time as the season went along. He didn't go back to giving them most of the carries when they returned and got healthy did he? You usually go with the known commidity if they are producing and work the new guys in slowly and that is exactly what the Tigers did last year.
