With class, work, and me reading through this again after a afternoon off... Yes... Triggered there.
So was I
Have to be honest, I like the fact that President Trump will be there. It's an honor to have POTUS at a game. The man wants to see a good football game & now even more people will be watching Saturday afternoon. Pretty fired up!
My question is which team benefits more or is disrupted more by Trump’s visit. This is not a political take at all. My initial thought is that LSU is least impacted and may benefit as a result. As visitors our standard pregame is different anyway. We expect to have to adjust and delays or other disruptions will not be as severe.
Alabama will have more difference from regular pregame rituals. They will have to adjust where they wouldn’t normally.
Finally I think the crowd will be distracted by his visit....not whether they cheer or not but that he will take at least part of the crowd’s focus away from the game. It could be a 3-6 point swing.
What do you all think?
Agree that the POTUS visit is a clear sign that we are at the center of the universe for college football. However, I wonder what effect the additional security will have on fans getting into the stadium.
I think that's a stretch, maybe a little wishful thinking,..
... I hope the sob spills mustard on his shirt
If he spills anything, I hope it's gumbo after we score a TD. Five spoonfuls would suit me fine.
He'll likely come in after everyone's already been seated. Unless they are doing Presidential honors, Hail to the Chief, etc.
I saw Winston being interviewed earlier.
