The LSU baseball team has donned gold jerseys in 14(revised)(someone call the Advocate) of its current 20-game win streak, but come Friday the NCAA will force the Tigers to take them off for the first time in five weeks. The NCAA has ruled LSU must wear white in its first round regional game against Texas Southern. Link: 2theadvocate.com | LSU Sports | No gold for Tigers in opener — Baton Rouge, LA
That's childish. The uniform rules are not new. LSU has won championships in gray, white, gold and purple.
I was starting to think the Tigers would get siked out wearing the Gold so much. But this is probably what we need to get over the win streak, with Gold jerseys...thing. Didn't they start wearing the Gold after a 6 game win streak?
copied that off 2theadvocate.com video of the sports cast. I thought they had started around the MSU series, wearing gold?
I believe the past 14 in a row have been in gold. It was at 12 at some point during the tourny, if my math is correct it's at 14 now. They definitely wore some purple throwbacks for a game during the South Carolina series. Not sure how many total games the team has worn gold during the streak.
