2 words, Marcus Spears, came to the tigers as a tight end, nick turns him into one of our best de's ever!! When marcus leaves to go to the nfl, he will be a 1 st round draft choice. Jeremy Jones, 6'5" 285 lbs. 4.8 speed, he has all the tools to be a great de at lsu for 4 long years!! i might be jumping the gun on a position change, but i love it when we have those big de's knocking down passes and sacking those quarter backs! KEEP THEM COMING NICK!!! 3 star rankings doesn't mean a thing!!
I think he'll turn him into an offensive lineman...but whatever he does, OL, DL, or TE...he will be coached up real good.
I think they are looking at Jones as an OL, not a DL. We are already loaded this year on the DL (Favorite, Alexander, Wroten, Dorsey, T. Johnson, and Tim Washington from last year) but have room this year for another OL. Of course, Peterman was a TE who went to DL and then back to OL during his career. If Jones is in Peterman's league, we want him.
Nick knows whats best for this program and if he feels Jeremy Jones is worthy of a scholarship than I have no doubt that he is!
