just like when the final undefeated nfl team loses,

we celebrate when all the seeds not in the top ten are out.

I really should know this, but what seed were we when we made it to the Final Four?

I was at the Purdue game (ended late like around 11:30p). I had an Environmental Science class the next morning at 7:30a but I was in line for tickets for the Memphis St game. Those we're two of the best games I have ever been to. We were a 1 seed in '81 if I remember correctly.

I was at both games as well. I'll never forget Anthony Wilson's tip in at the buzzer to beat Memphis State. The PMAC was never as loud before or after.
By the way, I looked at the 1981 NCAA results and it shows our 1st win was over Lamar, 100-78. I could have sworn we beat a 30-0 Alcorn State team in the tourney opener. Am I wrong?

I was fortunate enough to go to both games also. I remember Purdue had a very forward who wasn't very tall and it seemed as though he was going to take over the game on several occasions but we kept on fighting back. Keady was going nuts most of the game too so it made it much nicer to beat them.
