Here is a good article in the Advocate: Is anyone good enough to coach LSU http://www.2theadvocate.com/stories/010405/lsu_timeout001.shtml
I think that there are plenty of good coaches out there and I think Les Miles will earn all our trust by this time next year. Saban is a tough act to follow and nobody wanted to see him go. The uncertainty of a new coach is what makes it feel like Saban is unreplacable.
I think that was the problem with many fans about the LSU coaching search. They believed that every coach in the game of football wanted to be here when in reality....it just wasn't true. Not to say that we aren't the #1 job in college football but not every NFL assistant and Top-Tier CFB coach wants to drop what they are doing and come to a new place in which the expectations are sky-high. We got the best we could, IMO
