If CLM had started JJ at the beginning of the season How Many games would LSU Have lost. I would say 2 but LSU would be ready for next season.

Really? And you got this from reading practice reports or what, because he is yet to attempt a pass in a game.

I don't know but if Jefferson or Hatch (injured) could've played and run the option a few times in this game, we would've won.

Maybe the same exact losses. But that is not the point. The point is we are not going to win another NC this year, but we will have a decent chance next year with an improving QB.

At this point we need progress that's all.

Well... since it is all speculation, I would say we lose 4 games so far this season, maybe 5 (adding Auburn and maybe SC).

JJ is not in the game for a reason, and I believe that reason is he doesn't know the playbook. If he doesn't know the playbook, Crowton has a lot less to work with, making this a lot harder.

exactly! and that is the true point of this thread...............Lee is not progressing and that is why I think JJ would have been the better QB for next season

    I wholeheartedly agree with this.

We really really missed Hatch tonight.

It would have made the difference in us winning.

I think there are some good points and not so good points in this thread.
    1) I don't think JJ needed to start every game, we are going from one extreme to the other with this one.

    2) I believe JJ did attempt a pass against Tulane, didn't see the game but heard it from someone that did.

I agree with purple tiger, chosenone and Berge.
The thing is JJ could've played a little when Hatch went down.
If no other reason tonight for a change of pace or to try and kick start the offense.
The frustrating thing is that our defense shut down Bama's offense the second half and we couldn't get one drive going to take the lead.
We did get one drive to tie the game but to little too late.

For a change of pace, how much does a qb need to know?
I'm assuming JJ knows some kind of offense from high school?
Its not like he never played the game before, adapt the playbook.
Give me a break, people talk like none of these guys ever played a down until college?
