Did they ever rebuild the section that burned? I was thinking about going down and fishing the bridge. I've done a lot of marsh and offshore fishing in the area but never from the bridge. What can you catch off there? Reds/specs/drum I'm assuming. I would appreciate any advice on gear, bait and techniques from people that have experience fishing it.

Also, if anyone has any other bridge or pier fishing spots they could recommend I'd love to hear. Don't have a boat anymore and trying to find a inexpensive way to do a little fishing. Preferably salt water.

Forget the bridge and fish the roads from Leeville to Grand isle. If you are able to fish near small bridges and cuts, you should have no problem catching a nice mess of fish

Seems like I read somewhere that there are no plans to rebuild the bridge.

The Town needs to get the funds from the State, which could take years
