Ford has all the tools and a perfect mix between Murphy and Ridley.

It sounds like he should maybe get the nod for the opener. Why wait?

But will he see the field over a couple of savvy seniors?

He's 3rd on depth chart as it stands now, and that's Ridley type carries from last season, which wasn't much until people with down with injury.

    Just sayin....

It is going to be a running game by committee anyway and Ford will get his carries but he has still not played a down yet.

I think he gets more and more carries every game this year and close to the same amount of carries as Ridley when all said and done. Hard to tell with Murphy given he hasn't seen the field in a while either but I see him in 2nd and long and 3rd down getting the ball out of the backfield in space.

dont be fooled-- LSU will do what they do best
use their rbs strategically like in 2007:

plays that are designed for SPEED
plays that are designed for POWER
plays that are designed for elusiveness and a combo of the above two

keeps the D guessing and can be used as play action quite easily--
    i cant wait
    we;re going to DESTROY NC

I agree with this. We fit 5 RBs into a rotation based on the situation and what they did best(Hester, Scott, Williams, Murphy, and Holliday). I think we do the same this year with these three. Does Ford really run a 4.41? If so, he'll be seeing a lot more of the field.
