Anyone in southern Louisiana have a saltwater fishing charter they might recommend? Second week of December, for my wife & I.

    Re: Fising Charters

Back when I used to take a lot of customers fishing, I used capt. Mike Frenette out of Venice. The general consensus among all of us who had used several of the different captains was that he didn't have the best "customer friendly demeanor", especially if you didn't know him well. However he always came back w/ the most fish. If you would like his info, shoot me a pm.

If I were to come home and book a trip, I wouldn't call anyone else.

What do you want to fish for?

Inshore for specks and reds or deep water?

Inshore for specks, red, etc. Wife is a novice fisherman, so would like a friendly guide.

One of my techs has a husband that charters out of Venice. We've used him a few times and always have a good time, limited out several times.

His name is Daniel Dix, MLC fishing charters. I'll pm his number to you.

Brandon Carter, "Reel Shot" guide service. Venice. He is also buddies with...

This guy. Just don't spit sunflower seeds in his boat. He's kinda anal about that.

Also, Jeff Fuscia. "Delta Dawn" is the name of his service. Brandon and Jeff have a camp (it's a trailer...but big...and NICE!) that they rent as well. They'll cook for you, and there's a big screen.
    -
EDIT---Brandon might be out...he is a big deer hunter, and takes a lot of time out to hunt during the deer season.

Another edit---Chad Dufrene...Golden Meadow. Redfish machine.

Another edit---any of the guys at Big Fish Charters out of Breton Sound Marina in Hopedale. Cap'n Danny, Cap'n CT...dey good people.

I used to fish with Mike Ledet who operates out of Sportsman's Paradise in Cocodrie. He is very customer friendly and I always caught my limit of specks, reds and once went offshore for lemonfish.
