In an interview with Esquire magazine, John J. Dilulio, Jr. who headed the White House Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives in 2001 complained that "everything, and I mean everything is being run by the political arm. It's the reign of the Mayberry Machiavellis". Dululio was most critical of Karl Rowe who he described as "enormously powerful, maybe the single most powerful person in the modern, post-Hoover era ever to occupy an advisory post".

What??? This can't be. Sapling was the one who said that politics would never enter into ANY of his policy-making decisions. Oh, but that's right -- he does have a history of LYING doesn't he? Also, after all, you have to payback the people who gave you bribes to finance your campaign to being with, don't you?
