Do we have anyone left that can throw a strike?

Wow we are either great or horrible on the mound. Dirks walks 3 out of the first 4 batters he faces!!!! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

we got lucky on that runner interference call....prevented a run from scoring and having runners on the corners

10-6 LSU heading into the bottom of the 8th

It's obvious Mestepy is not back all the way and Dirks is not a reliever. You have no idea how hard it is for a starter to come in a pressure situation in the middle of a game. IT's just a completely different ball game. If we didn't wall 7 people yesterday, we win. Also if we wouldn't have walked so many today it wouldn't be close. I think we'll get better as the season goes along. I think right now, Dirks should become the #2 guy and Lane should do the mid week games.

I have to agree until Lane gets his location back he needs to move to weekdays where he can give up more runs and still stay in the game and maybe get his confidence back. It would be really great if he would get back to anywhere near where he was his freshman year. Meanwhile keep knocking the cover off the ball. Also Harris needs to start every game at 3rd. :geaux: :lsug: :tigbas: :tigbas: :tigbas:

Agree on both counts. Will Harris could be the surprise of the year. I'd love to see him as an every day player. His performance against righties today might move him up. I was really pleased with the hitting this weekend against what should be one of the best pitching staffs in the SEC. Tigers should be #1 in all of the polls after going into Sarge Frye and taking 2 of 3. But, as we all know, there is this love affair with Stanford that just keeps them on top in one poll.
