that said sugar is sweet but revenge is sweeter, are you kidding me, i mean i knew these oklahoma fans had sour grapes but to say a meaningless Nobody's Interested Tournament game is a better win than say o the friggin NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME is retarted, who ever wrote that sign should be taken behind one of those barns and get the hell beat of them, we won the game the counted :champs: i ll let them have as many NIT games as they want, all that matters is 21 14 on january 4th 04, ps oklahomos band still knows how to play only that 1 song and they still only know that OU cheer where they put circles above their heads with Us as for basketball, brady showed he does not have control when he and the players got in shouting matches with each other... during the friggin game, sweet 16 or bye bye brady finally the 2 sports that matter down here start with spring practice saturday and SEC play in baseball friday :geaux:
OU is on Spring Break and that kid is hustling to the game, not the beach, with a lame ass sign to try and get on TV - great job Pooners...
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big hoops fan and the loss was frustrating last night. However, if given the choice whether to lose the Sugar Bowl for the national championship one time or lose 10 consecutive years to Oklahoma in the NIT, I'd have to pick losing 10 yrs in a row. There was no bigger game than the Sugar Bowl in LSU history (any sport) and I was nervous as hell from the minute I woke up Sunday morning until that punt rolled dead.
I saw that sign at the end of the game, and I laughed. ha ha ha ha ha ha if that is the most intelligent thing the Sooner nation could come up with, comparing the NIT to the BCS National Championship, i have serious doubts as to the minimum test scores needed to get into that school.
I talked to my OU buddies this morning and even they said that was stupid to even compare a spare NIT (Opening round at that) to the National Championship in football is stupid and silly. He walked in my office pointed at the National Championship poster and said "I would gladly trade you" I am sure most OU fans there agreed with us.
I'm really suprised the announcers didn't mention the Sugar Bowl more. Usually they take it and run with it to fill the gaps. Kudos for actually announcing the game at hand...
But at the beginning of the game, they made quite a point to announce, "These two schools played for HALF of a national championship in football." Thanks...
