What are they going for in your area? Best I could find them for last weekend in Dallas was $6 a pound  Is this just a bad year?

Can't wait to get back to BR for the spring game in April. Crawfish will be first on my list.

$1.79/lb in Baton Rouge. Hwy 61 North at Sportsman Crossing. It's where old Hwy 61 and new Hwy 61 separate. They are nice size too! Got my two sacks reserved for Easter!

We lucked out and found some for $1.09/lb in Meridian a few weeks ago. We're boiling 5 sacks this weekend with some friends.

That $6 was for boiled. I'm guessing I could get them for about $4.50 - $5 live, which is still pretty damn crazy.

pharpe, it is a bad year, at least all the farmers I eat lunch with have been baffled why catches are way down. It's also the prime season, price-wise and they should drop considerably after Good Friday. The demand is the highest, by far, during Holy week.

We got some last week for $4.00/pound boiled at a lil corner store that boils but he has his own crawfish lakes and his son boils them.

If you're paying $6.00 boiled they should be getting them for at least half that, live.
