Just wondering of any of you read the books or watched the new TV series. The first three episodes debuted today on Amazon Prime with more to come each week. It's an epic fantasy series on the same scale as Game of Thrones. Anyway, Nick Saban is nae'blis!
Haven't read the books, but saw the previews and it looks kind of interesting. Got it saved, but haven't watched it yet.
I watched the first episode. I really like Rosamund Pike so I was looking forward to it. The first episode didn't grab me right away like GOT and to a lessor extent Britannia. But it was good enough that I'll keep watching a few more episodes.
My friends are all fantasy lovers and say the books are the best series of all time. Brandon Sanderson is finishing the series since Robert Jordan's death. I'm reading his Mistborn series currently.. the start of the WoT series was eh for me.. was expecting so much more. I wasn't sold on a lot of the actors chosen especially Rand, but on episode 6 now and it's gotten demonstrably better and more interesting.. power through the first three or four episodes is my advice. If you don't like Fantasy then it's a tough sell either way.
